It sounds like something etched the marble. Did you spill

perfume, wine, coffee or a strong cleanser on it? There is no simple

solution to removing it. Try going to a marble company. They do have

Marble should always be treated with an impregnating sealer & be cleaned
with the proper solutions as it is porous. Even with that it only buys you
extra time to clean up a spill. Anything acidic will damage the sealer too
if it sits long enough.

Soap residue usually causes a darkening. It is best to try to fix it
before you seal it. Good luck.

The culprit at our house..toothpaste. We usually just use
Chupachups
windex on the mirror and vim on the counter when we clean.
